Louie Olivarri

Lighthouse 21

Louie the Shoes, D.J. Double Stuff, the "Co-Co-Host" were just some of the nicknames that stuck. Louie's responsibilities were those of the announcing, show prep, concert coordination, live events, booking guests, managing interns, updating the web site and leading the L21 Ministry Team. Louie attended Criswell College where he worked with the Urban Outreach Team and was the assistant pastor of Maple Drive Baptist Church in Garland. In his spare time he wrote novels and composed praise and worship music.

Louie was such a great collegue and friend to me and the station. He was always volunteering his skills with the fledgling websites of KVTT, Powermix and of course Lighthouse 21. Buttons were his speciality and I loved the way he enhanced the Powermix site with graphics that looked 3D. I mean, come on, that little lightning bolt button? Greatness!

Louie entered Eternity at the age of 35.

Louie, to me, was one of the most important people of Lighthouse 21 because Louie was the one who kept us all together.
