What am I doing?

Here we are coming up on 10 years after Power FM signed off the terrestrial airwaves and I'm putting together a commemorative website and updating a long forgotten YouTube channel. In January of 2016 I was still editing and uploading video of the last live show on Power FM from September of 2015. As I got to the last segments I found myself unable to watch and feel what I felt that day again. So, I just stopped.

I blame Tim Henderson

Valerie and I got together with Dawn and Tim last year. We hadn't seen them in a couple years and we had a wonderful time going down memory lane. Tim brought up the idea of a podcast and I thought it might be cool to reminisce with former Power FM staff and listeners. Dawn and I could even record our morning show style bits just like we were still on the air. I've even touched base with Drue Mitchell and he wants to contribute.

2/11/2025 Update

Dawn and I have recorded our first few episodes of "The Power FM Morning Show" Podcast. It'll be both video and an audio version that we want to make available on our YouTube Channel and eventually wherever podcasts are distributed. The concept is short features that can be consumed without a big time commitment.

So here we are with whatever this is going to be. It'll definitely be a work in progress for awhile. I have uploaded the rest of Power FM's last show on the YouTube channel for the 9th anniversary of that day and have created some special playlists featuring the current top tracks and a flashback to songs that came out in 1995, the first year of Powermix on KVTT.
